European Class 3C Championships come to Harwich!

Friday 30th, Saturday 31st & Sunday 1st August


Harwich plays host to the 2010 European 3C Championships this Summer, where we are pleased to announce the current 2009 European Champion  Marcus Johnsson from Finand has confirmed he will be defending his title. 

Crews from all over Europe and the UK will descend on the east coast of England to join in the fun and revelry already planned for the RYA National Championships on the last weeknd of July.  SEPA will be working hard to secure favourable shipping and freight costs from Scandinavia and Holland directly into Harwich, where a warm welcome from the Race Organisers and English competitors themselves awaits our fellow crews from abroad.

The two European Champship heats will be run in accordance with UIM specifications on Saturday 31st July and Sunday 1st August and will be part of the Harwich Power Festival, with live music, firework displays, fun fairs and concessions all planned along the Esplanade of Dovercourt Bay, where the races takes place.  There will be National Powerboats from the UK competing in Offshore 3B as well as V24s, OCR and the exciting Thundercats crews.  An East Coast National Marathan race starting from and finishing in Harwich on the Saturday is also planned - with a 'flying kilo' run in the Bay on the Sunday.
